DEPARTMENT OF PHYSIOLOGY


The word "physiology" comes from the Ancient Greek physis, which means "nature, origin", and logia, which means "study of". The Department of Physiology is a basic medical science taught to the students which explains about the functions of each system and how they coordinate to maintain good health. The department of Physiology has excellent infrastructure and faculties with wide experience and knowledge in different fields of Physiology.  
The Department of Physiology has well equipped clinical and experimental laboratories, built to meet the latest infrastructural for the medical under graduate curriculum. The laboratories include: Hematology laboratory, Clinical /Human Physiology laboratory.
Human Physiology deals with the study of normal function of human body and how the body works normally, investigates processes that contribute to a variety of diseases and conditions, and develops approaches to cure them is the science of life. It enables to create a strong framework for the understanding of basic body functioning. This subject will help to shape the understanding of the components of human body, how they communicate, and how they combine their efforts to make conditions favourable for survival.

The mission of the Department of Physiology is improving understanding of physiological mechanisms, their regulation, and how their disruption contributes to disease conditions.
